Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is one of Disney's "Moderately" priced resorts.  My family and I stayed there over a long weekend last summer.  This resort was wonderful.  The resort has a Caribbean feel with the villas resembling villas one would find in Jamaica and Aruba. Not to mention that they are also named with these same island names.  The villas surround a lagoon where you can rent mini motor boats, paddle boats, sail boats and canoes.  

The rooms are decorated with a tropical "Finding Nemo" theme.  For an additional price you can get a "Pirate" decorated room.  Each set of villas has their own pool.  However, there is a main pool located near the food courts which has a child's play area with a pirate ship and also a larger pool with two waterslides.

The mini motor boat are a lot of fun.  They go 6mph.  While that may not sound like it's very fun, it actually is.  My son and I rode in one boat and my husband and daughter in another.  We circled and followed each other in the lagoon for our 30 minute time allowance.  

Another fun activity is to rent a surrey bike.  We rented a 4 seater.  While this does give your legs a work out going up the hill, you better hold on tight when going down the hill.  We flew down the steepest hill hoping to not run anybody over with my son ringing the bell to warn  aware pedestrians of our approaching bike.

The resort has a food court which has a market in which you can buy cookies, prepared sandwiches, salads, etc.  There are several other restaurants offering a variety of choices such as Italian, burgers, and home style meals. One thing that is a must is buying a refillable cup.  The cup is $12 however you're able to refill it with soda, Poweraid, lemonade, tea or water whenever you want and as often as you want.
