What's Aromatherapy?Aromatherapy is a special kind of therapy that uses essential oils and aromatic compounds from plants in order to improve moods, cognitive function and health. Aromatherapy can also be used for treatment and prevention of disease. The scent of the oils activates the limbic system and emotional centers of the brain. By applying massage oils to the skin, they activate thermal receptors as well as kill microbes and fungi. It's not surprising to learn that many essential oils are used in perfumes.
